The conference was intended for surgeons and other healthcare professionals to engage in the practice of clinical reconstructive microneurovascular surgery and other complex reconstructions and courses. He was honored to teach a course on using thigh tissue during breast reconstruction.

The mission of the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery is to encourage, foster, and advance the art and science of microsurgical and other complex reconstructions, as well as to establish a forum for teaching, research and free discussion of reconstructive microsurgical methods and principles among the members.

This conference, which will take place September 23-27 in Denver,Colorado, is regarded as the single most important scientific focus of the plastic surgery industry. THE Meeting attracts surgeons from all over and provides a forum for colleagues to share plastic surgery research from around the world.

Dr. Vega will be featured as one of the lead instructors, teaching 2 of the 78 courses offered during the 5 day conference: Comprehensive Breast Reconstruction on Monday, September 26 from 3pm-6pm and Incorporating Physician Assistants in a Plastic Surgery Practice on Tuesday, September 27 from 7am-9am. Additionally, Dr. Vega will be conducting interviews for The Rochester Microsurgical Fellowship during his time in Colorado.
