About

What is Endermologie?

Designed to reduce the appearance of cellulite, endermologie is the first non-invasive device approved by the FDA in the early 1990s. Endermologie is a deep-tissue massage treatment used to decrease the size of visible veins, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and get smoother, tighter skin. Not only can it improve the visual appearance of the body, but also help promote even skin tone and general circulation.

Most typically performed on the thighs and buttocks, this minimally invasive treatment is delivered by the first non-invasive device approved by the FDA. With the help of a small tool, one of our certified practitioners will apply pressure and knead the affected area(s). The tool consists of rollers that stimulate the fat locked in the deep tissue with a combination of suction, rolling, and pulsation to loosen up the tissue. Clumps of fat cells will break apart, releasing the tension and unevenness and leaving behind smoother, healthier skin. All clients receiving endermologie treatment will be fitted with Endermowear, a patented suit that allows for a more secure grasp of the targeted treatment area. It facilitates easier maneuvering and more visibility while offering increased treatment sensation.

Benefits

Benefits of Endermologie

While most folks are drawn to endermologie for its cosmetic benefits, it can actually do so much more for your body than just improve appearance. Here are a few examples of just some endermologie benefits:

Improved Circulation

Many people leave an endermologie session feeling energized thanks to the increased blood circulation and endorphins released during the treatment. The rolling and folding of the skin during endermologie treatment actually increases circulation by about 200 percent. This alone brings its own host of benefits, including improved organ function, healthier skin, increased cell growth, and more oxygen delivered to the brain.

Improved Lymphatic Drainage

The lymphatic system exists to rid the body of unwanted toxins and waste in order to keep the immune system in homeostasis. When lymph nodes become congested, they can compromise your entire immune system and leave you feeling weak and tired. Since the lymphatic system lies directly below the dermis, it actually benefits from the stimulation experienced during endermologie treatments.

With its unique suction and rolling movements, the endermologie device helps soften connective tissue that may be constricting your lymphatic system. This leads to improved lymphatic drainage which helps flush toxins from your system. You’ll experience:

  • Decreased fluid retention
  • Strengthened immunity
  • Improved filtration/toxin removal
  • Improved metabolism
  • Reduced swelling and inflammation

Frequently Asked Questions

Does It Hurt?

No, the procedure is painless. Endermologie is a non-invasive procedure that uses a hand-held device that massages and sucks on the skin to soften hardened fat. The subdermal fat is then flushed out via normal excretory pathways.

Is Endermologie The Same As Liposuction?

No. In fact, endermologie and liposuction treat two very different types of fats. Liposuction removes fat from the actual fat layer beneath the skin; endermologie works on fats trapped within skin fibers just underneath the skin. Liposuction is an invasive procedure that requires anesthesia, whereas endermologie is non-invasive and requires no special prep or treatment afterward.

Does Endermologie Help With Weight Loss?

Endermologie does often leave patients feeling slimmer and more smooth, but nothing about endermologie actually targets weight loss. Rather, it helps with size loss: by breaking down subdermal fat, treatments can produce up to 5 centimeters of reduction on the treatment area.

Who Qualifies For Endermologie Treatment?

Any person with cellulite or uneven skin is an ideal candidate for endermologie. After all, cellulite is a skin problem that can affect anyone at any age. If you see any fatty deposits of dimpled skin, you’re well-suited to benefit from treatment.
